Days without regrets
N. b. Think about what would you change if you could have done one thing differently in life?
When I was a kid I always set my goals higher than the safe border line. As a kid above the average ones but not the class toppers; I was given a doubtful look by my teahcers, parents, friends, family. I knew I could. Every report card said "Can do better" and know what, I never did because I did not want to. I would leave my final examination as soon as I got sure I would pass in it. I was one of the students who wopuld sleep till 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. exam. Every semester I would have low attendance but in all I did good; or better than I expected. Some may say I intentionally set my expectations low; I didn't. I just had other higher priorities.
I knew when to strike and when to not worry. I always dreamed about a job I would love. I have one. I wanted a car I could ride; I got one. I wanted an apartment of my own - never knew I would not clean it. I wanted to support every wish, every need of my own, myself - now when I can, I won't. I always enjoyed cooking - never knew time would worry me and I wouldn't eat. I did better. Did I?
But then I know I have the most amazing parents, the best of friends any one could have, people to care and love for, places to go to, resume to strengthen, wishes to fulfill and dreams to look forward to. I know I have everything. And as they say,
“The saddest summary of life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.”
I guess I would not have any regrets. I expressed myself every time I wanted to, i stood by what I believed as long as I could, I preach what I know I can teach and yes, I have managed to be happy all this while. I guess I have always tried to be positive. I never looked at my phone and said, I wish it was a better one. I was always thankful of what I have. In life always remember:
- Breathe.
- Dance, Sing, Write, Read or Travel.
- Being alone at times is a bliss. Think.
- Be thankful for what you have.
Believe in something, someone - may be a God. (Remember, God is man's greatest creation)
- Don't keep false hopes, promises or wishes to yourself.
- Spend less than you can earn. Save a bit.
- Don't stop moving. work hard.
- Have a wish list. Put every wish; stupid or not; in there.
- Enjoy the life you have. What was in past won't let you live your present and will definitely affect your future.
- Love your country. Believe in your ethics. And respect anything that is not yours.
- Be honest! (at least to yourself.)
(And the list shall continue...)
Adios!
P.S. Today, I proudly say, I always waited to see this day where I could complain about my job, hate driving my car, not clean my apartment, not pamper myself even when I can, never cook or eat what I cook and still manage to keep a smile without any regrets ;)

Building bridges and not walls
I have always believed that no matter who you are, in times of misery, you might build a wall against yourself and expect someone to come break it. But, of recently, I have started wondering that why do we build walls if we want them to be broken. For now, I wish to keep my bricks away!
Ever noticed how that ideal love story has this joy-deprived girl who has a unbreakable wall around her and how the hero rescues her from that. Remember how Beyonce sang on top of her voice, "Remember those walls I built? Baby they’re tumbling down.” So yes, it is not someone's fault if they get inspired and start believing that building walls up all around one’s self is the coolest possible thing that not only gets you lot of attention but TRUE LOVE! Hell yea! I don't know what is more desirable, love or true? We love deeply and often, as a result we hurt greatly. But that is no reason to add another brick to the wall. We need not give more weight or matter to the walls that didn't deserve it.
I have said it myself to half of the human beings alive about my indestructable wall and it is not because I needed the attention or the sympathy but I just wanted to sound more of that mystery girl or may be fragile ; which in my defense felt as experienced and glamarous.
But honestly, this is how we get introduced to misery. We put ourselves in positions that could potentially hurt us. We expect people to just leap through these high stacked bricks and show us the already lighted exit. But what fears me is that most of us find this wall comforting. By the time someone actually thinks of breaking the wall and picks the first hammer, we scare them away because we find it nice to lean on these walls and the room seems warm enough.
So all the songs, the poems, the movies, the books, the fairy tales were just a hope lit candle taking place over and over again. No girl, in her sane mind, would admit to the guy that she had walls built up inside of her, walls that never felt like crumbling. And no guy would take the time to tear down that barrier on his own.
“I never believed these walls would come tumbling down, and then I met you.”

P.S. This post is for the one person who sweeps me of my feet and tells me in his own way that there exists no such thing as a writer block :)

Father's Day
Dad,
You are my first love. The man who might have missed to say how much he loves me; but never failed to show it. I am a rare-Mom-pampered-daughter; but you were the one I could always turn to when Mom said no. I love you for saying "It's okay" when I shouted; for smiling when I was mad at you; for laughing on my jokes. When someone said "Can do better", you said "Good work!".
"One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters."
You are the only one whose hugs make me strong and when I am weak, I know the shoulder to cry on. You have always been there; no matter what - close or far. And that is the reason, I walked confidently. I knew these hands would never let me fall and even if I did, they knew how to pick me up and let me go back. Well, parents indeed are the only one who will sacrifice whatever it is to make you happy again. They are the one who make your house a dream home.
"A father is someone who is proud to see you get your first car; but secretly wishes it had no keys."
You are the one who taught me how to ride a bike and how to drive a car. I could overcome my fears because I knew that you're there and you would never ever give up on me. You are the one who taught me that problems are easy if we starting looking for their solutions and stop worrying.
"A child looks up at the stars and wonders. Great fathers put a child on his shoulders and helps them to grab a star."
And Dad, I lived the darkest days because I had your safe arms. You are a role model to your kids and many others. Oh and when someone asks me about you, I am proud to say, he is my daddy, the strongest! Each word you say to me is much more than wisdom and I hope to be your little girl always.
"A father is always making his baby into a little woman. And when she is a woman he turns her back again."
I will no more waste time worrying about the small things; because as you sau, I don't want to miss out on the best things. And Dad, everything I do, I do it for you..
P.S. They say a father is the man who has his daughter's picture in his wallet where he could have had lots of money :) And yes, (saying this without any shame) you're my Any Time Money !
P.P.S. I know no matter how wrong I am; you'll take care of it all. Please please do not ever stop pampering me ! :)

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar = God = Respect
Sachin :-) Yes! That is the topic every where. As long as my memory goes, I remember seeing him. He has inspired me by showing that 'Dreams do come true, just believe in them.' He is not always best, fails to keep everyone happy, has lot of haters but has played his game for 22 years and has been a star. I am sorry, a super star!
To all the wannabe's, who want to be famous, will talk bad about him. But deep inside them they know, they are the fans in denial. Yes, there is no single soul who is not his fan. He is extra ordinary awesome. No matter what happens, he plays strong. May be that's why he is called God.
Nevertheless, he unites the country. If it wasn't for him, India would have not scored many centuries or won those many matches. WC would still be a dream.
And to all those who claim that he would not be less loved if he did not score his 99, *in your face*. Every one wanted him to retire because he could not score a ton. How about all the 90's he contributed to the team? No one cared. And he on all this didn't care of the critics. He palyed for the country. He was there in the team scoring a century even when his father died. "To hit a century with that frame of mind, it's unbelievable." Yes Sachin, that is why you deserve a lot more.
If you still think that today the bad game was 78(98) rather than 100(138). Well I feel sorry! Sorry for the man who made it to the top. Sorry how he put everything for his passsion. Sorry for he grew unusually in a country where passion was less aprreciated. He is one person who defines cricket and that's how we react to him. Well, sorry for us! Each and every player once in a match takes 40 balls to get 22 runs. Some batsman don't even last 40 balls.
I remember Sharjah series; those 143 of 131 against Australia and the cokes. When mattered, he did it!
And any ways, even if he wasted some balls, why didn't the rest 10 played? No one can bowl good enough to stop a team like Bangladesh hit. I am glad we lost today when Sachin scored his 100th hundred. This way at least in future, people won't say he made his 100th because it was a losing team. They would know that despite his ton, the rest of the team failed to mark a victory.
And morons, no! we don't lose every time he scores a 100. We are so dependent on him that no one plays when he plays and we manage a respectable defeat which could otherwise have been a disaster.

Falling reasons...
Okay people! I have been quiet inquisitive to what makes everyone fall in love. I totally believe that for different people there are different reasons. I simply wish to know yours!
Were it the looks that he/she adorn?
Or the smile that added to the persona?
Was it the depth in those eyes?
Or the feeling of holding you in that voice?
Was it the dressing sense?
Or the scent that he/she was wrapped in?
Was it the best body?
Or the overall sex appeal?
Did the care or the love hit your heart?
Or the sweet and supportive nature?
Did sense of humor, outlook towards life or that passion to succeed made a difference?
Were you inspired of how he/she is serious about career or the way he/she worked hard?
Was there some love at first sight or you were just the casual acquaintances?
What made you think that yes! here's someone with whom I want to grow old or the one who can always cheer me up?
Is it because you found the perfect company of laughing at the most insane stuff?
Or because it was with him/her only that you could think of taking the shower together?
Did saying "I love you!" countless times made you feel so deep?
Or was it something more?
Did that feeling of you're-wanted made you drool?
Or that respect that he/she gave you?
Or was it the never dying friendship between you two?
Come on! I think I should be answered. Shouldn't I?
So tell me, "What made you fall in love?"
In case you want to say that you never fell in love or it is all crap, then also you must have had some good feelings for someone? If the answer to even this is "NO!" and you're already an adult, then I wish to say just one good thing, "Get a life!"
Love is the most beautiful feeling! And hey! if you wish to tell me but not share it with others then leave a comment and delete that. I'll be more than grateful!

When I miss you...
July 16, 2011
Mixed Emotions
It’s inevitable, though but you don’t want to go. You want to be done with last moments; last smile, last laughs, last hugs, last kisses but not the last good-byes. That's when you realize that a good bye never had anything good in it. But somewhere inside you, you tell yourself that I have to move on, even though you do not want to. You don’t care what people say - good or bad. You don’t know what it’s going to be like, and you fear the unknown, so you’d rather just stay where you are and with whom you are. You call up everyone but no one makes you feel that sweet pain. The pain you feel of being hanged upon by calling just one person. At this point you feel like you’ve got it all figured out and it's not that being a change. Even if you don’t move on, everyone else will. And you hate it. You don’t want to meet new people because you’ve met all the people you want to: they know you, you don’t have to prove to them that you are cool, because they know you’re not and they love you anyway. What would make these people like you? They don’t understand you, haven’t been around you for so many years, and even if they get to liking you it will take more time than you’re willing to wait for. So maybe you sit in your room for a while. Every once in a while you feel obligated to go out and meet people but it never quite turns out the way you want it to and is pocked by intermittent awkward pauses. You aren’t social or fun like all your neighbors who are going out to party. You let things go. You have to. No one can keep it up for forever. And that’s when you discover that people really will like you for your boring, run-of-the-mill self. You realize that there are a lot of places to go, people to meet, food to eat, walls to cover in posters and fliers and ticket stubs. You stop sleeping, stop studying. You are having too much fun. You remember what it was like for things to not be so dramatic, and you are at the same time unprepared and itching to go back to where everything seems just a little bigger. And suddenly, some day the word LOVE hits you. *mixed emotions* That's exactly how you feel when you realize that you've just not moved on, no matter what you say...You look at the people in your past and realize that you wouldn’t trade them for anything, that when you were with them you thought you’d never be close to anyone again, and now you have people who you would do anything for, who maybe you even love but then the past one's are THE ONE'S YOU STILL LOVE! ;-)

Wish you were here...
"Never look back...
Never regret...
Never remember
the people you've met.
Never begin...
And never end...
Never say never
when it comes to your friends!"
I have moved to places, I have bid goodbyes and said hellos. It has been painful to say goodbye but it is equally good to meet new people, find friends in them and trust me it is never impossible to have tons of friends. All this is a journey; the journey of life. And at every milestone you meet people - good or bad; you learn, you experience:) It's all different. But but everything you get is not a replacement of old. You don't get that same friend you have had for ages ever in any thousand miles, you don't get that family, that home, that love on any milestone... but you get equally special friends, family, love, care...
The worst is stage between leaving a milestone and reaching the next. I feel I am on way. I know I am not lost; I am locationally challenged. But I want to stay. Stay for long...
I have been away for more than 2 years or 2.5 precisely. Though I can't still call my adobe my home, but I gradually like it here. It's a lonely world especially when being alone is my biggest fear. Sometimes I feel I am missing that one thing in life.. that one purpose, the one answer to what I am doing here? Or why I am here? No matter where you go, you see people with a meaningless smile. Plastic for sure, it often says to me I am equally 'out-of-my-mind' just like you are. I remember misisng all this ever since I came to US. Well things haven't improved or probably I havn't moved. I still miss having that dil-ka-connection. And for this I won't say I met wrong people. People are not wrong! It's the striking of chords amongst two souls that makes things hard. No matter how bad you may find someone , there would always be someone to love that one and no matter how good you are, a certain set, a certain amount of souls hate you.. for something may or may not been done by you! So true, “People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges.”
But I just wat to be lucky enough to find the one's who would care enough to break the walls down. :) It's a different world. And all I could say is Wish you were here..

Rains
Yes, I love this quote just because I love rains! So what's with it. Well I had been missing a lot many things here and was always cribbing but these rains washed away most of them. :)
Walking in the rain, dripping wet,
Unbeaten by the wind, so tough,
I am recalling moments, in good spirits,
Smiling softly, questioning myself.
Understanding things, for moments to be.
Unable to find the right alley,
I try to be sanguine but I can’t.
I question, Is everyone I care for not forgetting me?
Is everyone I want thinking of me?
In the shadows of dark clouds I ponder,
How am I doing, do they really wonder?
And then I feel, they remember me,
For they snuffle when I talk about scorching days,
They worry when I walk through hot noon.
As of now, the rain washes away grumbles.
Dashing in big drops on the narrow pane,
And making mournful music for the mind,
While plays His interlude the wizard wind,
I hear the singing of the frequent rain.

Things that mothers teach their daughters
Mom and me are best friends - in honest opinion more than just best friends. The golden rule to keep the friendship stay best forever was taught by Mom and it is: "You might forget to tell somethings to your best friend, but never forget that you need to be honest." So following that I have seen life, and everytime I take a wise decision, I say to myself - well! Momma said so :)
This post is NOT an inspiration post after watching Forest Gump. It is a collection to be passed on to every daughter :-)
Feminism \m/
My root teaching was:
` Before you do anything, think! Think that you're not just responsible to yourself, but to your family, to a nation where a billion people live.
Yes, a billion people can hold me responsible for anything I do. It might not seem tough for me, but it could be worse to many. I might miss the point so think, think responsibily. Another talisman that I have always loved is:
` Love when you're ready and not when you're lonely.
So totally true! It is so hard to not fall for just anyone when you"re lonely _ specially after a breakup> :) All of us know that! The best I feel is to hold on to people you know would understand you no matter what:
` Parents have the hearts to love you when you're at your worst and arms to hold you when you're at your weakest.
Everyone knows this but still you should remember it and never ever say that:
` Women are Crazy Men Are Stupid
I so agree and shall always remember:
` Ever notice that people who spend money on beer, cigarettes and lottery tickets are always complaining about being broke and not feeling well?
Also,
` Don’t do drugs ’cause you can find the same effect just by standing up really fast.
:) :) :) Goes out to all those who hand their life to things that they should own and not otherwise.
I am sure someday I will use your:
` No man is perfect — you just have to find one whose quirks you can live with.
Ever thought that what you say could be golden:
` If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.
And and, I remember when I would be sad thinking Life is just a struggle, you would tell me:
` You can never get enough of what you don't need to make you happy.
I have strggled to realize that life is not just hard days, it's about conquering such days to find happiness. I remember you telling me how when one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.
` Because in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years that will matter.
Yes, so the most precious thing we have is life, yet it has absolutely no trade-in value.
You made me see positives in life. In my sad days, you were my unspoken untalked of strength. You taught me how not to run in circles ort shout, when in doubt.
` Fall over seven times, but get up eight.
Last but not surely not the least, I wish to share some thing I think has made me a better person:
` This too shall pass.
And something I have learnt on my own and shall be passed on ;) is:
` Don't look for a boyfriend who would be best, look for a boy who would be your best friend.
Mom, I look back on my childhood and thank the stars above. For everything you gave me, but mostly for your love. :-) Your words have been a source of strength and hope to me whenever life became a roller coaster. Clearly, you're the bank where I deposited all my pains and you converted them and gave a return of happiness. It is just because of you that,

Memoirs::
I sit alone, With only my thoughts, And memories of times past. I sit here sad, Wanting to recapture, Times we’ve had. I sit here crying, Longing to feel your embrace, Your hands, your face. But all of these, I can not have, we're far away.
Right now, I really miss my friend in you..so much that nothing could be compared to! I have tried not to think of you but failed miserably. I always told you that I am not strong enough to hold on. But even then I am being tested.
Would it have been justified if I would have not been discourteous about not-showing you my cell phone and could it ‘really’ save you from going away? Was it possible for me to have you right here talking to me, listening to my teen stories!? Can it be done that I would teach you and in the end, learn from you? Could we still plan to run in rain, dance in monsoon games, fight the storms and plan with you. Couldn’t you stay till the end of time? No-on yes no one would ever replace even a single bit that you did…
I just don't wanna drive without you, Mowgli. >:D< Read more...

Parents
Mom and Dad,
You were there for me to take me to school
for tying my hair and matching my dress with the shoes..
for my first cycle ride and even handling my woes.
For that and much more, for always being there...
for making me feel strong and showing you care.
For being my protector and setting the rules...
for the rides, the money and the help with school.
For all the times I was stopped in doing things,
I know understand it was for my own good.
I may not have been happy, but I always understood..
that I am lucky to be one of the few.
to have a Dad that pampers me and a Mom that loves me,
to have a Dad that sponsers me and a Mom that is friends with me,
as much as you do. I love you, I really do. :-)

World of her own
She survives in a world of her own, so small yet content. All she knows of is that her day begins with hopes to see him and all her happy days end with glimpse of him. She feels elated whenever he leaves at same time she does and they go out together, board the same bus, sit beside each other and converse. Those little pieces of words that come out of his mouth feed her ears all the symphonies. Seeing him smiling at her makes her eyes foretaste heaven. Her heart takes an extra beat whenever he passes by. But her mind wanders, questions and mystifies her.
She waits for the day when he can gaze along with her at that ecstasy, can hear that melody and say what she want him to feel…
